Pelvic Rehabilitation
What is pelvic rehabilitation?
Pelvic Rehabilitation is an exercise-based session focusing on linking the pelvic floor to the rest of the body.
What is involved in a pelvic Rehabilitation session?
The initial session will start with an injury history and goals followed by an orthopedic assessment. The results of the history and assessment will guide the exercise session.
Subsequent sessions will be similar to the initial, but with more focus on the exercises.
What types of people can benefit from pelvic floor rehabilitation?
Anyone who is experiencing pain or discomfort in their back, hips, pelvis, hamstrings, hip flexors, quads, and ankles.
Pelvic dysfunction is very common in all levels of athletes. Training at high levels, from Olympians to exercise enthusiasts, can cause chronic persistent discomfort, urinary incontinence and other pelvic floor symptoms.
Pregnancy and childbirth alters a woman’s body, leading to pain, imbalances, urinary incontinency, and injury. After birth, strengthening the body in a holistic way linking the pelvic floor to the rest of the body can have a positive effect on the mothers quality of life and activity level.
Any athletes who run, jump, row, lift weights, dance, and move their body can benefit from Jenn’s approach.
